Your quick guide to the cart
Everything you need to drive, charge, park, and enjoy your rental with confidence.
The essentials
Before you take off
Start and select direction
Turn the key on, choose forward or reverse with the switch near the steering column, and press the accelerator gently.
Test the brakes
Before entering traffic, do a short test drive and get comfortable with the pedal pressure.
Stay on slower roads
The cart is street-legal on roads posted at 35 mph or less. Routes at 30 mph or less are usually the most comfortable.
Keep the key secure
Remove the key whenever the cart is parked and keep valuables out of sight.
A few heads-ups
Driver-side seatbelt
Currently non-functional. All passenger belts work normally.
Backup camera
Under repair. Easy enough to look over your shoulder when reversing — the cart is small.
Battery gauge is non-linear
The percentage may not fall evenly. A quick drop near the top is normal, and you'll still get the full range out of a charge. Recharge once the cart reaches about 20%.
Simple rules for a smooth rental
- Best areas: downtown St. Pete, Beach Drive, the waterfront, Central Avenue, North Shore, and Old Northeast.
- Charging: the cord is stored under the front seat and works with any standard 110V outlet.
- Full recharge: allow roughly 4 hours from empty to full.
- Overnight rentals: plug the cart in overnight whenever possible.
- Rain cover: stored beneath the rear seat. Use it when rain is expected or the cart will sit outside.
- Passenger limit: no more than six people may ride in the cart.
